TAHINI TIL LADDOOS – SESAME SEED CANDY

These Tahini Til Laddoos are a Makar Sankranti classic. They are made with only three, pantry-friendly ingredients. Truly a guilt-free treat!

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup Sesame Seeds

3/4 cup Jaggery, finely chopped

1/2 cup The Butternut Co. Tahini

 

METHOD:

1. Over a skillet, on low heat dry roast sesame seeds for 5 mins. When the color turns darker and becomes fragrant, turn off the heat. Transfer to bowl and allow to cool.

2. In a large saucepan over low heat, add tahini and jaggery. Stir it constantly until the jaggery is melted, Turn off the heat.

3. Add the toasted ​sesame seeds to the melted mixture and mix until combined. Wait till the mixture cools a little before you start rolling

4. Roll the mixture into bite-size balls. Store in an airtight container. Enjoy!
