This PEANUT BUTTER BANANA FRENCH TOAST  is one of our favourite breakfast foods we grew up eating! Get the goodness of eggs, banana and a dollop of unsweetened peanut butter all in this one sumptuous toast. To make it irresistibly delicious, simply top it with berries and drizzle some maple syrup!


2 pieces whole wheat bread

1-2 tbsp peanut butter (or other nut butter)

1/2 banana

1 tbsp butter

1 egg

Splash of milk

Dash of cinnamon

Maple syrup

Chocolate Hazelnut Spread Drizzle (optional)

Berries or cashews for the topping (optional)


  1. Take 2 slices of bread and spread unsweetened peanut butter on both pieces of the bread. Sandwich banana slices between the breads.
  2. In a bowl, beat the egg. Add a splash of milk, dash of cinnamon and mix together. Pour egg mixture over the sandwich. Turn the sandwich over to get both sides covered with the egg mixture.
  3. Heat the butter in a frypan over medium heat. Place the sandwich and heat until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side. Remove from the pan and slice in half.
  4. Serve with maple syrup. Add berries or cashews on top and drizzle some chocolate hazelnut spread. Enjoy!
