We made a batch of these healthy modaks to celebrate Lord Ganesha on the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. While traditionally celebrated with various sweets, we whipped these up with #NoRefinedSugar!
HEALTHY DRIED FRUIT & NUT MODAKS
1 cup seedless dates
3/4 cup raisins
½ cup figs
1 cup dessicated coconut
1/2 cup The Butternut Co Almond Butter Creamy
1/2 cup The Butternut Co Cashew Butter Creamy
2 tbsp ghee
1. In a food processor pulse the dates, raisins and figs until broken.
- Add the desiccated coconut and mix well. Next add the nut butters and pulse until combined.
- Stir in the ghee and mix until the batter is a dough like consistency. If it is dry add water.
- Stuff the dough into greased modak moulds and refrigerate to set.
- Remove and serve. Enjoy!
