DARK CHOCOLATE SEA SALT TAHINI BARS

While exploring Tahini, we stumbled upon these satisfying dark chocolate sea salt bars. These are gluten free, don’t require an oven and promise to satisfy sugar cravings.

Ingredients:

For the Base

1 cup almond flour

¾  cup oat flour

¾  cup  tahini

¼  cup coconut oil

½  cup maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

½  tsp salt

Flaky sea salt, to sprinkle

For the chocolate topping:

3/4 cup dark chocolate

1 tbsp coconut oil


Method:
  1. Start by combining the almond flour, oat flour, tahini, coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla and salt in a food processor. Mix until a crumbly dough forms. Add more oat flour if the mixture is liquid.

  2. Add this into a baking pan, pressing down evenly. Refrigerate for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

  3. In the meanwhile melt the dark chocolate with coconut oil. Pour this over the set base evenly to form a thick chocolate layer. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the chocolate layer.

  4. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour more, or until the chocolate has hardened.

  5. Once it is firm, cut it into long bars. Serve cold. Enjoy!
