While exploring Tahini, we stumbled upon these satisfying dark chocolate sea salt bars. These are gluten free, don’t require an oven and promise to satisfy sugar cravings.
Ingredients:
For the Base
1 cup almond flour
¾ cup oat flour
¾ cup tahini
¼ cup coconut oil
½ cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
Flaky sea salt, to sprinkle
For the chocolate topping:
3/4 cup dark chocolate
1 tbsp coconut oil
-
Start by combining the almond flour, oat flour, tahini, coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla and salt in a food processor. Mix until a crumbly dough forms. Add more oat flour if the mixture is liquid.
-
Add this into a baking pan, pressing down evenly. Refrigerate for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
-
In the meanwhile melt the dark chocolate with coconut oil. Pour this over the set base evenly to form a thick chocolate layer. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the chocolate layer.
-
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour more, or until the chocolate has hardened.
-
Once it is firm, cut it into long bars. Serve cold. Enjoy!
